Hillary Scott of Lady A tasked us with creating a spectacular, but intimate, show for their Las Vegas residency. They wanted to create a scalable environment in which they could play their smash hits, but also spend some “stripped down” time telling the story of the band and their music.
Designed around an Art-Deco theme that followed the feel of their promotional material, we designed a classic theatrical stage. With minimalistic low risers and a classic, articulated Austrian drape, the set also featured plush, beautifully lit, soft-goods and a pair of beautiful, custom-designed Deco lighting fixtures. The Austrian drape could be lowered to create the intimate "Bluebird Cafe" section of the show and raised when we wanted to reveal the massive LED backdrop screen.
Content was designed in collaboration with Normal Studio from Montreal. It consisted of several stunning three dimensional scenes in forced perspective that formed the digital backdrops foreach section of the show.
The result was a beautiful, engaging evening that played to months of packed houses and rave reviews at the Palms Resort.
